Byron is the only one of my cats that I have not done painting of. He has a great face that I will definitely have to get down on canvas...Also I posted a link to Karl Yost site, he does ceramics that I swear look like fossils. Saw his work at the White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach Oregon.

The artwork is a early piece I did with copper.I have added an link to Cassandra Barneys website.I have seen her work in Cannon Beach, Oregon several times. It is better in person of course. Living Water is a watercolor and ink work that I did in a series. It is only 9x12. I say that because I was at about the same time working on a 18x24 abstract watercolor and ink work, which was taped to my kitchen table to avoid warping during the water color process. This is a small mixed media piece that I did while back. I took the drawing of the butterfly and broke it up and then transferred it to the canvas. The texture was added as I built up the surface with tissue and paint. I then went in and painted the Butterfly.

Today I thought I would share my Copper roofed birdhouse. I started making these because I wanted one for my backyard as we get a lot of bird visitors. I added the copper to the top of the birdhouse as an accent and to prevent water leakage into the house itself. (Oregon Rain). This is my dancing Cats quilt I made a while back. All of the fabrics with the exception of the skirts is hand dyed by me. Since I don't have a lot of space and was fearful of my own clumsiness, I used a technique that involved mason jars. You mix up your dyes in small mason jars and then stuff your fabric into the jar.
